Toulouse Geese

Toulouse Geese have their roots in France, where they were prized for their meat and foie gras. And while they are excellent for meat and feather production, today most keepers just keep them around for their calm demeanors and striking appearance. These large birds provide a touch of Old World aesthetic to any homestead or pond. Females lay about 50 eggs a year and will brood them, and both geese are great parents.
